I read the reviews and was a little concerned I would find these too scratchy and uncomfortable and as they pricier than the usual sheets I buy I was very hesitant. I got my shipment quickly but when I opened the box the first sheet on top, the fitted sheet, did not seem quite right, like it wasn't as folded and smoothly put in place as the remaining top sheet and cases underneath it and the wrapping paper was oddly torn. I wondered if it had been a return. It had a different feel from what I was used to and given all this I was tempted to immediately return it. I finally decided to go with it. I took out the fitted sheet, inspected it and then took all of them out of the box, wash them in cold water, hung them to dry and put them on my bed. I am so glad I decided to go with it, I now love them and don't think I could go back to regular cotton sheets again. I am trying to simplify my life with all white, wonderful sheets and toss all the old mismatched patterned stuff. I swear I am sleeping better in these sheets! They feel good on my body, breathable, lightweight but so satisfying to the touch. I will be replacing all my sheets, in time, with these dreamy linens. I say go for it!As other reviews have stated, these are the softest linen sheets ever. My husband knew nothing about them and when he got into the bed he said “these sheets feel really good.”I don’t know how they are going to hold up with age. If there’s a problem, I’ll amend this review.At the moment, I will and have recommended them.These sheets fit well, they are comfortable, ez care.Poor quality. Scratchy and uncomfortable feeling sheets and definitely not worth the money. Laundry instructions require line drying, they are not dryer compatible. Totally unacceptable. Sorry I ordered.I like these sheets, but I think many people who are accustomed to the very smoothest cotton sheets will need a period of adjustment. Linen is not initially as soft and smooth as finely woven cotton sheets, but it softens with each washing. On my first washing I found that these sheets gave off a disturbing amount of lint. I'll post a photo of how much lint came out of the dryer's lint trap. Keep in mind, it is a bit compressed from handling - it looked like even more when it was fluffier. Anyway, I bought these for the airy quality. I hate feeling like I'm sleeping under a plastic bag when sleeping with very fine cotton sheets that have been subject to fabric softener. I'd be happy sleeping under a cotton waffle blanket with no sheet. I found these linen sheets allow that kind of airiness, but they feel much different on the skin. Laying on them and putting your face against the pillow cases, you will feel the weave of the fabric. See my photo of the texture of the fabric.Well, I don't get it. I wasn't sure what to expect from linen, but these sheets are kind of rough. I've washed only once though. Oddly, I don't dislike and will continue to use them. I can see where they're probably cool and absorbent. Honestly, I'm intrigued because I'm not sure what I think of them. Is there a quality I actually like but can't put my finger on? Here's hoping they soften with more washings. I'll come back and add a star if I decide I like them after more use.I love these sheets. The linen is cooling and I love the look. The Queen fits my bed perfectly and the pillowcases are great too!
